Mission

To exercise autonomously the control, surveillance and inspection of the proper use and correct administration of the assets belonging to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which have been rescued through the different legal mechanisms, guaranteeing, based on knowledge and technology, that the control action contributes to the fulfillment of the essential purposes of the Interim Government.

Vision

To be recognized as an autonomous and effective fiscal control body, which generates a strengthening of the State's capacity to effectively execute its government function through transparency and efficiency in the management of public resources.

Ethical Values

The exercise of control and fiscal surveillance that corresponds to the Council of the Comptroller of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is part of the fulfillment of the purposes of the State, enshrined in articles 15 and 20 of the Statute that governs the Transition to Democracy to Restore the Validity of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. In this way, the Comptroller's Council, in compliance with its functions, is governed by ethical values and principles.

The official of the Comptroller's Council assumes the fulfillment of the functions always seeking to achieve the institutional objectives:

The offial of the Comptroller's Council, in his entrusted functions and management support, rejects any proposal that violates his autonomy and legal duties.

Autonomy:

The official of the Comptroller's Council acts clearly, making known, supporting and publishing in a complete and timely manner the actions developed out in the exercise of their functions, always guaranteeing the possibility of evaluation their behavior.

The official of the Comptroller's Council is aware of it's obligation as public servants, they make the best effort to fullfil their assigned duties and asumming full responsabilities of their actions.

Ethical Principles:

The members of the Comptroller's Office Council believe that:

1. The defense of the public resources is fundamented on the fullfilment of the purposes of the rule of law and justice.
2. The exercise of control is aimed at protecting public resources autonomously, efficiently and effectively, in order to promote a proper public management in terms of quality and results.
3. In the exercise of their functions, continuous improvement and growth are essential for their optimal development.
4. Use of technological resources as a tool for the control and surveillance of fiscal management.
5. The ultimate goal of surveillance, control over the proper use of public resources is the integral development of the human being and the effective enjoyment of their rights and obligations, which is only possible in a democratic system.
